This article focuses on how internet intervention is able to encourage religious authority fragmentated and contested in Indonesia. Using library research, this study argues that digital technology that offers greater flexibility and accessibility to Islamic texts can encourage Muslims to be less dependent on established sources of authority. This reality is exploited by pure-salafi and salafi-jihadist groups to promote individualising religious authority through independent mujtahid movement called "do it yourself" and "leaderless jihad". Meanwhile, the traditionalist-moderate Muslim group responded the salafi's activism by building a religion narration regarding the importance of connected-sanad in doing ijtihad and studying religion which is disseminated through cyber media. In short, cyberspace has become a means of contestation of religious authorities in affirming religious identity and ideologyof moderate Muslims and radical conservative in particular.
2023-10-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Lukman Hakim https://jurnalfdk.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/JIK/article/view/1578 Bahasa Sebagai Media Komunikasi Dakwah 2024-01-14T08:46:55+00:00 Moh. This research aims to examine the role of language as a medium in da'wah communication. Using library research with a critical discourse analysis approach, the research results show that; 1). Language is one of the most effective communication media for carrying out da'wah communication, which has the main roles, namely labeling, interaction, and information transmission, 2). Language is a very vital medium to convey da'wah communication messages; so within holy Qur'an there are many words found such as "qaulan" that need to be paid attention to by communicators. The word "qaulan" is always paired with wise words, such as layyinan, makruf, tsaqilah, karimah, sadidah, balighah, maisyuroh, which means that the Muslim preachers must be role models for adherents in using language.
2023-10-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Moh.
