Author Guidelines

Please read the guidelines below before visiting the submission as follows:

Manuscript Submission Guidelines:

  • Jurnal Komunikasi Islam/JKI (Journal of Islamic Communication) receives manuscript submissions online through Open Journal Systems (OJS). OJS of Jurnal Komunikasi Islam will serve as the center for editorial staff to communicate with authors, editors, and reviewers electronically, and it will function as the platform for the review process.
  • The structure of the research article is divided into; Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion. Whilst, the structure of the review essay is; Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Conceptual Study, Critical Review, and Conclusion.
  • The manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it submitted before another journal for consideration.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted as Word documents.
  • The manuscript is typically between 5,000 and 6000 words of the main text (excluding references and notes); however, both shorter and longer manuscripts will be considered.
  • Each manuscript should begin with a 100 or 150-word abstract of its content.
  • Author name, affiliation, and corresponding/email identification should appear on the main text pages
  • The text format should be 1.5 line spacing, 12-point font size, and follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style 7th edition at
  • In-text citations are expected in APA style such as (Smith, 2013), (Johnson & Smith, 2013) and up to five authors are listed in the first citation in-text. Subsequent citations for works with three authors or more will use the short form such as (Clark et al., 2013).
  • The manuscript should be sent to the submission page:
